You can customize the behavior of Client Console by using Tools à Options. The following tables explain the different options for customizing Client Console.
Error & Logging Options

Description |
Show Message Window after every error |
Displays the Message window along with the error message and suggestions (if any) after every error. If you deselect this option, the Message window is not displayed. However, you can access the Message window again by using View à Message Window. |
Always show Log Window |
Specifies that the Log window must always be displayed. If you deselect this option, the Log window is not displayed. However, you can access the Log window again by using View à Log Window. |
Clear Log Window after every Operation |
Ensures that the Log window is cleared before any operation. If you deselect this option, new messages are appended to the existing ones. In a long session, this might use more memory. |
In Log window, display(drop down box) |
Specifies the type of message you want to display in the Log window. You can select Only Errors, Errors and Warnings, or All Messages. |
Also Log Messages to a File |
Enables File Logging Options to log messages displayed in the Log window to a physical file. If you deselect this option, you cannot log messages to a file. |
File Logging Options

File Name |
Specifies the file to which you want to log messages. You can manually enter the path of the file along with the file name or choose Ellipsis next to the File Name field to select the log file. |
Max File Size |
Specifies the maximum size of the log file. If the file size exceeds this maximum limit, the file is deleted. A new file is created with the same name to log messages. |
On Application startup(drop down box) |
Specifies the behavior of the log process on application startup. You can choose to append messages to the existing file or replace the existing file with a new file. |
While logging, log(drop down box) |
Specifies the type of message you want to log to the log file. You can select Only Errors, Errors and Warnings, or All Messages. |
General Options
Option |
Description |
Reuse Middleware Login |
Prompts you for a middleware login only once during a session. The same server details and login parameters are used through out the session. If you deselect this option, you have to specify the server details and login parameters every time you connect to the CRM server. |
Startup Function(drop down box) |
Specifies the startup function you want on application startup. The function you select starts automatically when you invoke Client Console. |
