Determination of Persons Responsible 

Use

You can use this function to determine the persons responsible for mass-generated opportunities and activities related to a campaign or trade promotion. After you have defined the generic criteria by which the persons responsible are to be determined, the system uses the criteria to identify specific people in each case.

Prerequisites

You have defined generic criteria for determining the persons responsible. See Defining Persons Responsible.

You have started mass generation of an opportunity or activity.

Activities

The system uses the following algorithm to determine the persons responsible for each mass-generated opportunity or activity related to a campaign or trade promotion. The system:

...

       1.      Sorts the criteria by rank, with 1 being the highest.

       2.      Checks for members of the target group or the planning customer that meet the set of criteria with rank 1.

If there are any, the opportunity or activity is assigned to them, and the search ends.

If there are none, the system continues with step 3.

       3.      Checks for members of the target group or the planning customer that meet the set of criteria with the next highest rank.

If there are any, the opportunity or activity is assigned to them, and the search ends.

       4.      Repeats step 3 until the person or persons responsible are found.
