Setting Up the Environment 

Purpose

You customize the SAP CRM System to enable certain business processes that are required for R/3 ORDERS IDoc Mappings. This also includes configuring the Administration Console and the ALE Distribution Model.

Prerequisites

·        Basic working knowledge of Application Link Enabling(ALE) and IDocs.

·        Basic working knowledge of the SAP CRM Sales Transaction.

Process Flow

       1.      Customize SAP CRM

This facilitates business processes that needs to be enabled for R/3 Orders IDoc Mappings. This includes enabling the D-U-N-S Number and the GTIN.

       2.      Configure the Administration Console

You configure the Administration Console in the SAP CRM System to:

·         Create sites

·         Assign subscriptions to the site

       3.      Configure ALE Distribution Model

The Distribution Model describes the flow of business object between logical systems. You can define conditions for data flow. For example, conditions are defined to determine the receiver and filter the incoming data.
