Enhancing or Changing Criteria Rules 

Use

Criteria rules can not be changed subsequently for an already created subscription generator. You have to create a new generator.

Prerequisites

You have created and saved a new subscription generator and you want to enhance or change the criteria rules.

Procedure

Proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Create a new subscription generator. The corresponding criteria rules have to be active. See also: Creating a Subscription Generator

       2.      Set the activation status of the initial generator to D (To be deleted, delete generated objects).

       3.      Perform the background job for all generators.

Result

The subscription agent optimizes the operation assigning the objects and assignments of the original generator to the new generator, provided that this complies with the newly created rules. Further objects and assignments are created. Obsolete objects are deleted. The correspondingly marked generator is deleted.
