Checking Partner/Product Ranges with Exclusion
Flags
When checking partner/product ranges (PPRs) with exclusion flags, the system checks if the product entered in the sales transaction or application is explicitly excluded by a corresponding PPR.

The check via the exclusion flag is faster than the check on existing PPRs because only PPRs with exclusion flags are checked. Performance is thereby improved. However, which check you should use depends on your business scenario.
Depending on the business scenario, you also have the option of using a different kind of PPR check. You can find more information under checking existing partner/product ranges.
The general prerequisites are valid for partner/product range check.
You must also have set the Only Excl. flag in the Transaction Types and Applications Relevant for Check activity in the transaction type and application for which the check should take place.

1. Create a sales transaction, for example, a sales order in mySAP CRM.
2. Once you have entered the relevant data, the system attempts to find a partner/product range in which the product is excluded. This can be an exclusion at header, item or validity period level. None of the other PPRs will be considered for this check. All products that are not in an active PPR with exclusion flag can be entered in the sales transaction.
3. If the product entered for the business partner was excluded from a PPR, the system issues a message that the PPR XYZ excludes product A for business partner B.
4. You enter a different product, or save the transaction despite the error message.
