Checking Existing Partner/Product Ranges
When checking existing partner/product ranges (PPRs) in the sales transaction or application, the system checks whether a PPR is available with the product created at item level, this means whether the entered combination of business partner, product and time period is valid.
Depending on the business scenario, you also have the option of using a different kind of check of PPRs. You can find more information under Checking Partner/Product Ranges with Exclusion Flags.
See Partner/Product Range Check under the section “Prerequisites”.
...
1. You create a sales transaction, for example, a sales order in mySAP CRM.
2. Once you have entered the relevant data, the system attempts to find a partner/product range in which the following data is entered:
...
a. Product of sales transaction item
b. Sold-to party and assigned partners
c. Check date
d. Organizational data (sales organization, service organization, transaction type), if applicable
3. If no combination of business partner, product and time period exists, that is, if no PPR was created for it, the system issues a message that no PPR was found.
4. You select a different product, or save the transaction despite the error message.
