Definition

An attribute is a criterion used to describe an object.

Attributes with the following sources can be used for business partner segmentation in CRM Marketing:

·         Business partner master data, for example "age", "gender", "address"

·         Master data/transaction data from SAP BI, for example "number of purchases per month"

Attributes created especially in CRM for marketing purposes, for example "hobbies". Such attributes are combined to create attribute sets.

Use

Within CRM, an attribute can be used for marketing purposes by assigning it to a business partner and then using it (when modeling target groups) to define the selection conditions for business partner profiles.

Specifics of Mobile Sales

You use attributes to create attribute sets. You then assign these attribute sets to the business partners that have those attributes (the opposite of the use of attributes as filter criteria for data – for example, for BI data). In this way you can process a business partner profile for marketing activities. The attributes include:
