Update Role Structure (RSCR_SYNCHRONIZE_ROLES)  

Use

Crystal Reports are stored in a directory structure in the Crystal Enterprise server component.  This directory structure is copied from the role structure in the BW system. You can use the SAP report RSCR_SYNCHRONIZE_ROLES  to guarantee that the directory structure in Crystal Enterprise remains synchronous with BW.  

We recommend that you schedule this SAP report to run periodically every day in the background.

Integration

You can use the report RSCR_ROLES_REORG to clean the role tree in BW with respect to Crystal Reports.

Prerequisites

The user must have administrator rights for Crystal Enterprise in order to synchronize roles.

Features

When executing this report, the entries, which Crystal Reports are assigned to which BW roles, are transferred to the Crystal Enterprise server component. The Crystal Enterprise directory structure is updated to match the BW role structure.

       1.      Call up the ABAP Editor (transaction SE38).

       2.      Enter the program name in the Program field: RSCR_SYNCHRONIZE_ROLES

       3.      Choose  Execute.
