Process documentationAssign Business Partners Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

This process enables you to assign customer-specific views of the Web shop to target groups or business partners.

For further information, see Catalog Views and Define Catalog View.

Prerequisites

You have created:

·        Product catalogs with the corresponding areas and products

·        Catalog views

·        Business partners

·        In Customizing, under PPR Type for Product Catalog Views, you have entered the value 0002 (product catalog view).

Process Flow

...

       1.      To start the process, select Views (in product catalog management).

       2.      Select the catalog view that you want to assign business partners to.

       3.      Select This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. You reach a screen.

       4.      To display all of the business partners, select the appropriate search term and Start in the left window.

       5.      Select the business partner that you want to assign and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

       6.      Alternatively, you can also use Drag and Drop to assign the business partner to your catalog view or by double clicking on it.

       7.      Select Add target group, to get a selection of all of the target groups. Find the desired target group and confirm with Continue (Enter).

       8.      Save your entries.

Note

If you want to use catalog determination, you must firstly fulfill the following prerequisites with regard to business partner data.

·         The business partner must be the contact person of a sold-to party.

·         The sold-to party must enter sales data for a distribution chain of the catalog, so that the system can locate the catalog for the business partner.

Result

You have assigned business partners to a catalog view. This means that you filter the view of the Web catalog to certain catalog areas and products for these target groups.
