Procedure documentation Making Settings on the SAP CRM Server Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

To make settings on the SAP CRM Server, you essentially use the Structure linkAdministration Console. From there, you call up the data from SAP BW and transfer it to the mobile clients.

Prerequisites

You need to have made the settings in SAP BW.

Procedure

Settings To Be Made Once

To acquaint the Administration Console with SAP BW, you need to perform the following steps (only once):

...

        1.      In the SAP menu, choose Architecture and Technology ® System Administration ® User Maintenance ® Users to create a user ID for the RFC connection to SAP BW. This user ID should have the same name as the RFC user that you created in SAP BW, such as BWCRMREMOTE (see Making Settings in SAP BW).

        2.      In SAP CRM, set up an RFC destination for SAP BW. You execute this by choosing Architecture and Technology ® System Administration ® Network ® RFC Destinations in the SAP menu. In the Logon/Security tab page, enter the user ID that you created as RFC user in SAP BW.

        3.      In the Administration Console, choose Environment ® Display BW Systems ® Add BW System, and choose from the list the RFC destination that you created.

Activities To Be Performed Regularly

The following three activities are performed regularly. They are partly executed automatically using background jobs. You can use the links for the individual activities to access detailed information about the settings that can be made.

...

        1.      Edit BW requests (see the section Managing and Monitoring BW Requests for Mobile Clients)

        2.      Requesting BW Data (by scheduling a BW request)

        3.      Distributing Data to Mobile Clients
