Definition

Instrument used in marketing to plan the measures by which a marketing plan is to be executed. The campaign defines the:

·        Activities

·        Target groups

·        Product groups

·        Persons responsible

·        Budget for each campaign element

Use

You can use campaigns to promote sales and improve the image of a product, and to create opportunities for add-on sales and cross-selling.

Structure

You can assign the following to a campaign:

·        Business partners and contact persons, by using target groups (see Structure linkTarget Groups)

·        Products (see Structure linkAssigning Products)

·        Activities (see Activity Template for Mass Generation)

·        Opportunities (see Opportunity Template for Mass Generation)

·        Notes

·        Attachments

·        Allocations (see Allocation Planning)

Additionally, you can perform key figure planning for campaigns, including cost and budget planning, success key measure planning, and volume planning.

You can run individual campaigns, or link several campaigns in a hierarchy, as shown in the example in the diagram below. There is no limit to the number of levels in the hierarchy.

Integration

You can either:

·        Plan and run a campaign completely in Mobile Sales, or

·        Load a campaign from the CRM Marketing Planner.

For more information on integration between campaigns in CRM Marketing Planner and Mobile Sales, see Connection to CRM Mobile.
