Creating a Relationship: Contact Persons Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

  1. Select the contact person for whom you want to create or change a relationship, using Contact Persons ® Search.
    1. On the Contact Person Search tile, enter the search criteria, and choose Search. The complete contact person record appears on the Contact Persons tile.
    2. On the Contact Persons tile, mark the selected contact person in the column at the far left.
  1. Access the Business Partners / Contact Persons tile by choosing:

Contact Persons ® Relationships

The Relation Type Choice dialog box appears.

  1. In the Relation Type Choice dialog box, select the relation type and choose Select.

The Relation Type Choice dialog box closes, and the Business Partner / Contact Person / Employee Search dialog box appears.

  1. Enter the search criteria, and choose Search.
  1. On the Business Partners / Contact Persons tile, mark the desired contact person, and choose Select.

The dialog box closes, and the selected contact person appears in the Contact Persons / Relationships tile set, on the Business Partners / Contact Persons tile.

Note

In the Business Partners / Contact Persons tile, you can only create or change relationships between contact persons, not between a contact person and a business partner.

To create or change relationships between business partners and contact persons, in the navigation bar, choose Business Partners ® Relationships. See also Creating a Relationship: Business Partners.

  1. Save the relationship for the contact person.

Caution

To change a relationship, you must delete the invalid relationship and create a new one.

You can only create one relationship at a time. To create several new relationships for one and the same contact person, you must create and save each of these relationships individually.
