Function documentation Management of Analysis Authorizations Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The transaction Management of Analysis Authorizations provides a central entry point for all functions that you need to manage analysis authorizations.

Prerequisites

For all activities in the management of analysis authorizations you need authorization for authorization object S_RSEC, which covers all relevant objects with namespace authorizations for specific activities. See the documentation for the authorization object in the BI system.

Authorizations Tab Page

On the Authorizations tab page, you can find all the functions to create, change, generate and transport authorizations:

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Maintenance: You get to the transaction for creating and changing analysis authorizations. For more information, see Defining Analysis Authorizations.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Generation: the transaction for generating analysis authorizations opens. For more information, see Generation of Analysis Authorizations.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Transport: You use this to write previously created authorizations to a transport request.

User Tab Page

On the User tab page, you can find all the functions you need to assign analysis authorizations to a user:

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Transport: you can transport created and assigned authorizations.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text User Maintenance: the general user maintenance of SAP NetWeaver opens.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Role Maintenance: The general role maintenance of SAP NetWeaver opens. With the authorization object S_RS_AUTH, you can include analysis authorizations in roles. You enter the authorizations you previously created as fields for the authorization object S_RS_AUTH.

On the Analysis  tab page, you can find all the functions you need to check and monitor analysis authorizations:

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Execute as...: You can execute various transactions as a test under another user to check their authorizations. This is protected by password.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Error logs: You get a log for the authorization check. For more information, see Error Log.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Generation Logs: You get a log of all generation runs for authorizations.
