Set Type Maintenance 

Use

Set type maintenance is only available in the SAP GUI.

Prerequisites

All attributes that you want to assign to the set type must be defined. For more information, see Attribute Maintenance..

The following two tab pages are provided:

Definition Tab Page

On this tab page you can:

·        Restrict the use of set types to specific product types

·        Generate set types either dependent on the distribution chain or independent of the distribution chain

·        Create set types as with or without multiple use

·        Activate set types so that they can be used in templates

·        Specify for which object family the set type should be used

·        Maintain descriptions for the set type in different languages

Tab page Assigned Attributes

On this tab page you can:

·        Designate a field as a key field

·        Define attributes as multi-value

·        Set the flag for use in the Business Information Warehouse (BW)

If you want to use an attribute for extraction into BW, set the flag BW-Relevant The extraction structure will contain a field for the selected attribute.

If you want to use an attribute for data selection in BW, set the flag Relevant for BW Selection

Changing Set Types

For set types that have already been assigned to category, you can only change the short text and add other attributes if necessary.

Deleting Set Types

You can only delete set types that are no longer assigned to a category.
