Configuring Log on With Alias 
Use
For longer logon names when connecting to the backend system, you can configure a logon alias.
Procedure

1. Customize the data source configuration file.
You must map the logonalias attribute to the attribute in the backend system. For some data source configuration files, this mapping is already defined and you cannot change it. For more information, see Customizing a UME Data Source Configuration.
2. Configure the User Management Engine (UME) to use the data source configuration file.
3. Start Identity Management.
To start Identity Management, see User Administration Console.
4. Search for and select a user.
5. Choose Modify.
6. Choose the Additional Information tab.
7. Enter the logon alias.
8. Choose Save.
