Use

In BEx Web runtime (Java), you can integrate documents into portal-based KM in the following ways:

...

       1.      Using the BI Document Repository Manager. In this case the documents are physically stored on the BI server in the SKWF framework. The BI Document Repository Manager is available in the portal from Release SAP NetWeaver '04.

       2.      By migrating documents into a CM repository. In this case, the documents are physically stored in the portal. This allows the documents for master data and InfoProvider data to be assigned on a hierarchy-node level (as well as characteristic-value level). You use KM views to manage migrated documents.

       3.      Using the BI Metadata Repository Manager. In contrast to manually created documentation for metadata, the HTML-based documentation for BI metadata continues to be generated automatically from the Metadata Repository, as required. The BI Metadata Repository Manager is available in the portal from Release SAP NetWeaver ‘04 (with SAP BW 3.5).

Integration

The KM integration makes all of the KM services available for BI documents (for example, text search, text mining, subscription, rating, personal documents, discussions).
