Use

You use this procedure to add a comment to an index definition immediately after you save the index definition.

Prerequisites

You have created an index definition.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Add Comment.

The editor appears.

       2.      Enter the required comment.

       3.      Save the comment.

The Create Object Directory Entry dialog box appears.

       4.      In the Package field, enter the name of the transportable package and choose Enter.

The Prompt for transportable Workbench request dialog box appears.

       5.      In the Request field, enter the transport request and choose Enter.

·         To create a transport request, choose Create request.

·         The comment is saved as a raw version. To ensure that the comment is transported, you need to activate it.

       6.      To activate the comment, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Result

You have added a comment to an index definition. However, you can add a comment only when you create a new index definition. To add a comment to an existing index definition, you need to modify the comment. For more information, see Modifying the Comment of an Existing Index Definition.
