Configuration of the Mobile Development Workstation

Purpose

This process describes steps required to configure a Mobile Development Workstation (MDW) in the development environment. The same steps have to be carried out on all MDWs existing in test and production environment also.

Prerequisites

You have:

· Installed MAS on the MDW.

· Obtained a user account from your system administrator to log on to Mobile Application Studio (MAS), and to access the Mobile Application Repository (MAR).

Process Flow

1. The CRM technology consultant carries out the following activities using MAS:

¡ Defines necessary tool options, like system parameters, connection to BDoc repository and so on. For more information, see Configuring the Mobile Application Studio.

¡ Customizes toolbars to have a quick access to the functions that he or she may use frequently while customizing mobile client applications. For more information, see Toolbar Customization.

¡ Defines a font style in which code and text objects that he or she wants to view. For more information, see Specifying Fonts.

2. The CRM technology consultant copies the MAS online help from a documentation DVD of the current release into the required folder. This step helps accessing online help through MAS. For more information, see SAP note 717527.
