Displaying the Condition Records for a Product

Use

You use this procedure to view all the condition records for a product based on the sales area of the product. A condition record is a data record that stores a condition.

The Condition Selection Manager displays the condition records for all the available condition types for a given product.

A Condition Type is a characteristic of a condition record. A condition type shows a specific aspect of the pricing activities. You can define a condition type for any price, surcharge, or discount that occurs in your business transactions. Condition types are maintained in CRM Online. For more information, see Condition Types.

Example

In pricing, different condition types are used to distinguish between a discount that refers to a net price and a discount that refers to a gross price.

Prerequisites

You have maintained condition records in CRM Online, and have downloaded these condition records to the mobile client. For more information, see Processing Conditions (CRM Mobile).

Procedure

On the navigation bar, choose Products ® Condition Selection Manager.

The Products/Condition Selection Manager tile set appears

On the Selection Manager tile, choose the choice field in Product No to search for a product.

The Products Search dialog box appears.

Search and select the required product.

The selected product appears in the field Product No and the field Description displays the default description of the product.

You can also select the product for which you want to display all the conditions, using Products ® Search.

On the Products Search tile, enter your search criteria, and choose Search.

The product record appears on the Products List tile.

On the Products List tile, select the desired product in the column at the far left.
Access the Selection Manager tile using, Products ® Condition Selection Manager.

The selected product is displayed in the field Product No, and the field Description is defaulted to the description of the product.

Enter the sales area of the product or choose the sales area, by choosing the choice field in Sales Area.

The Sales Areas dialog box appears. Sales Areas displays the sales organization and distribution channel to which the product belongs.

Select the sales area of the product.

The sales organization is displayed in the Sales Area field. The distribution channel and division are defaulted and are not editable.

Note

A sales area is a combination of the distribution channel, sales organization, and the division.

To select the validity period for the conditions, choose the calendar icon and select a date range from Valid From and Valid To fields.
Choose Show Conditions.

The Conditions Records Panel appears. Choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon at the top right corner to minimize the Conditions Records Panel.

Note

You can choose Clear to enter and search for the condition records of another product.

The Conditions Records Panel consists of two parts:

Left hand part: Displays all the relevant conditions for the product in a tree structure. You can further expand the tree structure to display all the conditions and condition types for the product.

CONDITION TYPES

SOLD_TO_PARTY here, is a characteristic of the condition record. Sold To Party is a business partner, who is either a person or an organization, who places an order for products or services. Based on the SOLD_TO_PARTY all the condition records are displayed for the selected product.

SOLD_TO_PARTY (Independent) indicates that the characteristic is not specific to any business partner. Therefore the condition records displayed are not specific to any business partner.

Note

You can choose:

- The This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon on the division bar to collapse the left hand part

- The This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon on the division bar to expand and display the left hand part

Right hand part: Displays all the available condition records for the product. It is divided into two sections:

The upper section is called Common Condition Fields: This displays the criteria that you have searched on such as the PRODUCT, SALES_ORG, DIS_CHANNEL, Valid from, and Valid to.

The lower section is called Conditions records: This displays all the condition records and their details such as Cond.type, Valid from, Valid to, Rate, and Curr. for the selected product.

You can choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon at the bottom of the Conditions Records section to display the Condition Record Details. The Condition Record Details section has two tabs.

The Condition values tab: Displays the following fields:

Field name	Description	Req./Opt. /Dep.	User action and values	Comment
Rate	The rate defined for a scale value in a condition record. For example, a product has a scale value of 1 – 10 pieces and is sold at 10 Euros for this scale, where 1-10 is the scale value, and 10 Euros is the rate.	Dep.	This field is not editable.	In pricing of a product the rate and scale value are used to calculate the condition value for a document item. A scale is a unit of measure based on which a product is priced.
Condition Table	A table that defines the structure of the condition record.	Dep.	This field is not editable.	You can create condition records for specific product prices. The attributes for table SAP005 are: Sales organization Distribution channel Sold-to party Product Using the above attributes condition records can be defined for a given product.
Conversion	Indicates the conversion amount from one currency to another	Dep.	This field is not editable.	A company calculates a product price in Euro and a customer requires the product price in Pounds, then the system displays product price both in Euro and in Pounds.

The Control Data tab: Displays the following fields:

Calculation Type	Unit of measure on which a quantity scale is based	Dep.	This field is not editable.	Calculation types can be percentage, fixed, quantity-dependent, gross-weight dependent, and net-weight dependent, and volume-dependent.
Scale Type	Indicates whether the specified scale values represent the minimum or the maximum value for the price, discount, or surcharge	Dep.	This field is not editable.	There are two scale types: From-scale To-scale Using From-scale, the specified scale price, discount, or surcharge applies if a particular value or quantity is reached or exceeded. On a scale value of 1-10 a discount of 100 Euro is granted if 10 or more pieces are ordered.
Scale basis	A value or quantity that the system uses to determine a scale level.	Dep.	This field is not editable.	It defines how the system interprets the pricing scale of a condition. Depending on the scale basis, the scale can be a value, quantity, weight, or volume scale. Scale basis for the quantity scale can be pieces, boxes, or cartons. Based on this, a scale value is calculated.
Release Status	Indicates whether the condition record is used	Dep.	This field is not editable.
