Object documentationTransportation Lane

A transportation lane defines the delivery relationship between a supplying location, a receiving location, and a product. The transportation lane contains the purchase price for the relationship and has a validity period.

The transportation lane master data is used to support planning, logistics, and reporting. For example, you can use the transportation lane to determine procurement cost price for a specific product. Note that the transportation lane supports multiple currencies; however, it does not perform conversion.

You can perform the following:

  • Find transportation lanes by using the search feature.

  • Display the purchase price related to a transportation lane. This display is organized by date range, currency, and unit of measure.

  • Change details of a transportation lane based on customized settings.

Structure

The transportation lane master data contains information required to represent a transportation lane, such as the master data system, source location, target location, product ID, location subrange, procurement cost price, time dependent attributes, and organization data.

Integration

Demand Data Foundation (DDF) receives this master data from an external SAP or non-SAP application. For more information, see Integration Information.
