The generic time series contains historical consumption data indicating the unit volume of a specific product location for a specific time period. Consumption data is the most generic type of demand data supported by Demand Data Foundation (DDF).

The generic time series can be used as a demand data source in demand modeling. It provides historic unit volume data for the product location based on which the historical demand can be modeled.

Structure

The generic time series contains information required to represent consumption data, such as the product, location, time stamp, granularity (weekly or daily), and quantity.

Note Note

This time series does not include information on prices or offers.

End of the note.

Integration

DDF can receive the generic time series from an external SAP or non-SAP application. For more information, see Integration Information.
