Business Process Flows: Monitor
Users who have been assigned access to the Business Process Flow (BPF) monitor can see a complete list of processes and display the full set of information available for individual process instances. The BPF instance owner can finalize and reopen steps from the BPF monitor.
From the tray at the top of the screen, choose Business Process Flows to access My Activities, which allows you to complete steps in a BPF that you are responsible for. You can access the BPF monitor from the action pane of the My Activities screen. For more information, see Business Process Flows: My Activities
To be able to view the BPF monitor, you must have been assigned access by an authorized user during the template creation process in the administration console. The authorized user specifies the BPF instance owner when they are creating a BPF instance in the administration console. They select the instance owner from the list of users that were given access to the BPF monitor during the template creation process.
The entry screen of the monitor displays the process name, data region (BPF identifier), status (completion percentage, number of steps completed, in progress, pending), start date, and owners for each process instance. The tool tip displays the Completion percentage for a specific process. You can filter the processes displayed using Show Processes or Status.
When you select a business process flow from the list, it opens the instance monitor to allow you to see the status of all steps and activities in that process instance. You can Group By step, data region (BPF identifier), status, and action required. You can also filter using Show Activities. To display the completion status for an entire step, click Show the Groups Pane icon. You can switch between the different steps in the side panel to see all the activities for a particular step. Choose Hide the Groups Pane icon to return to the normal view.
The BPF instance owner can reopen steps from the BPF monitor. They can reopen the step prior to the current active step by choosing Reopen Step. For more information about reopening steps, see Criteria for Reopening Steps.
The BPF instance owner can also finalize an instance from the monitor. Finalize Process only appears in the BPF monitor when the process is fully complete.
You can access the Business Process Flows: Monitor by choosing BPF Monitor in the action pane.
