This function enables you to set up business process flows (BPFs). BPFs allow you to define your business processes in prepackaged sets of application tasks that can be used by different departments within your organization. Any of the available features within the Web and Office interfaces can be utilized by a business process flow.
Using a web-like interface that is accessible from the Web and Office interfaces, users are guided through predefined sequential tasks that span across the different areas of Planning and Consolidation.
Business process flows can be integrated with work states to offer an additional level of intelligence and integration with your company’s regulatory processes.
You can manage business process flows if you have the Define_BPF task profile.
These are the business process flow management tasks:
Create a BPF template on which to base BPF instances. See Creating New Business Process Flows.
Copy business process flows. See Copying Business Process Flows.
Manage business process flow instances. See Managing Business Process Flow Instances.
Business users create new instances of the BPF by selecting a different data region, as needed, to perform their tasks. After an instance has been created, administrators can reset or delete existing BPF instances.
Delete a business process flow. See Deleting Business Process Flows.
