These initial steps are required for each application set after you install a new version of Planning and Consolidation, or when you add a new application set and you want to enable Insight.

Procedure

  1. In the services console of the application server, change the Insight startup type to Automatic, then start the service.

  2. From the Admin Console, log on to the desired application set.

  3. Choose Insight.

  4. Choose Enable Insight from the Insight action pane.

    Note Note

    If Disable Insight appears in the action pane, the application set is already enabled for Insight.

    Enabling Insight may take a few moments depending on the size of the application set. A message displays when enabling finishes.

After you complete these initial Insight setup steps, synchronize the Insight server with the Planning and Consolidation server (see Synchronizing Insight Data). You can also define key performance indicators for users, or have users define them (see Key Performance Indicator Definition).
