When you distribute input schedules to users and they enter the required data, you can collect the input schedules from a designated network or e-mail folder. You use the Distribution Wizard to collect input schedules using a predefined distribution list.

Prerequisites

Before you can collect input schedules, make sure you have completed the following tasks:

  • You have distributed input schedules using the Distribution Wizard. See Distribute Reports and Input Schedules.

  • When users have completed data input, they have e-mailed the modified schedules back to you, or replaced them in the designated network folder.

  • If collecting input schedules in an e-mail folder, a folder exists in which to place the modified input schedules. Move all the applicable e-mails to that folder.

    Note Note

    Each e-mail should contain only one attachment. The attachment should be a single, modified input schedule, or a single ZIP file containing several modified input schedules.

Activities

To collect input schedules, take the following steps:

  1. From the Excel interface, select   ePublish   Offline Distributor  . From the Offline Distribution Wizard, select Collection, then Next.

  2. From the Select Input Schedule List dialog box, select Outlook Mail Box or Local Folder. Select the Browse button in the Working Folder field.

  3. On the Ready to Send Data dialog box, select Process to send the data collected from the files or e-mails to the database.
