System Requirements

Before installing Analysis, ensure that the following components are installed on the local machines:

Microsoft Office 2013 (Excel and PowerPoint) or Microsoft Office 2010 (Excel and PowerPoint)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 Redistributable Package
If you use the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1 platform with Analysis, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 or higher must be installed on the client PC.

Note During installation, the Analysis setup checks whether Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is installed on the PC. If not, it provides a link to download this software. The Analysis setup also checks whether Primary Interop Assemblies are installed. If not, the setup installs this component automatically.

A list of all supported operating systems for SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office, is available on SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/pam Information published on SAP site where you can enter SBOP ANALYSIS OFFICE into the search box and choose the Search in PAM button to retrieve the information.

As data sources Analysis takes the data from the BW system of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or higher releases of SAP NetWeaver. For more information about SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, see the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com.

Before users can begin working with Analysis, you have to create at least one connection object to a BW system. To define these data source connections, you require SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence XI 4.1 SP5 as platform. It is also possible to run Analysis with SAP NetWeaver as platform on your PC, using the SAP GUI for connection information.
