 Maintaining Business Partners

Use

On the Business Partner tab page, you edit data for the master contract holder and additional business partners.

In the Master Contract Holder group box , you can display the key data for the master contract holder and edit it in a limited way.

In the Additional Business Partners group box, you assign additional business partners to business partner roles. If you want to store customer-specific business partner roles for the master contract, for example, you can save these here.

Prerequisites

You have created the business partner role, the business partner, and the business partner in the required business partner role in SAP Business Partner for Financial Services .

Note Note

If you use a different system for managing business partners, ensure that it meets the prerequisites.

You have made the settings in Customizing for the master contract product to permit the business partner role in the contract.

Procedure

Master Contract Holdergroup box

  1. You can change the master contract holder as long as you have not yet assigned any accounts to the master contract .

    Note Note

    However, the participation conditions for the master contract state that the master contract holder and the various account holders must be the same business partner. This means that it is not possible to change the master contract holder indirectly once the participant accounts have been assigned.

  2. Choose Save .

  3. Choose Display to reach the detail view for the master contract holder. The AM system transfers this data automatically from the business partner-managing system (the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services in the standard system) and the role of master contract holder, for your information. You cannot make any changes.

Additional Business Partnersgroup box

  1. Select the business partner role to which you want to assign an additional business partner.

    Note Note

    You cannot assign the business partner roles that the system requires for the master contract. The system does not use the business partner role assigned here for any special function in the contract.
