Account Model (Loans)
The account model maps the relationships between the accounts involved in the payment distribution and the management of overdue items of a loan and their account holders. The categories of the accounts are loan account
, clearing account
,
and contract account
. If you change the holder of a loan or clearing account, you must take account of the effects described in Editing of Account Holder Change (Loans). The following
graphic illustrates the relationships between a loan account, clearing account, contract account, and their account holders:

Account Model
A loan account is assigned to one clearing account. A clearing account can be assigned to one or more loan accounts. The loan account and the clearing account can be physically one account, or two different accounts. This affects the relationship between their account holders:
If the loan account and the assigned clearing account is physically the same account, they also have the same account holder.
If the loan account and the assigned clearing account are physically two accounts, their settings in the Product Configurator govern whether the accounts can have the same account holder (the feature attribute Same Account Holder
is assigned in the attribute
hierarchy under Clearing Account
), or different account holders (the feature attribute Same Account Holder
is not assigned in the attribute hierarchy under Clearing Account
).
A clearing account is assigned to one contract account, and vice versa. The clearing account and the assigned contract account are physically two different accounts. The clearing account and the assigned contract account always have the same account holder.
