Example documentationSzenario: Zero Balancing with Constant Balance (on Subaccounts)

In this scenario, the system clears only the difference between the current and the defined constand subaccount balance during cash pooling. The constant balance (value date-based and posting date-based) remains on the relevant subaccount during the daily cash pooling. There is no return posting.

Example Example

Example 1:

The value date-based balance of the subaccount is EUR 2,000.00 CR, the defined constant balance is EUR 500.00 CR. During cash pooling, the system posts the difference of EUR 1,500.00 from the subaccount to the main account.

Example 2:

The value date-based balance of the subaccount is EUR 1,000.00 DR, the defined constant balance is EUR 500.00 CR. During cash pooling, the system posts the difference of EUR 1,500.00 from the main account to the subaccount.

End of the example.

Prerequisites

To represent this scenario in the system, you need to define the following rules in the settings for each account:

  • Main Account

    • No rule

  • Subaccounts

    • SAP0011000 (Surplus Clearing)

    • SAP0012000 (Deficit Clearing)

    • SAP0051000 (Constant Balance on Subaccount)

    • SAP0081000 (Summary of The Same Value Dates)

Note Note

  • Rules SAP0052000 (Fixed Target Balance on Subaccount) and SAP0051000 (Constant Balance on Subaccount) mutually exclude each other. Therefore, you must not combine these with each other.

  • Rule SAP0081000 (Summary of the Same Value Dates) is not necessary for zero balancing with a constant balance. If you do not use this rule, the balance of the subaccount is initiallly EUR 0.00, and the constant balance is then return posted.

End of the note.
