  Executing Account Billing

Use

You use this report to determine expected incoming payments for accounts. The system manages the expected incoming payments determined by the report as billing items and transfers these to the bill creation system. The bill creation system creates a bill statement or a billing notification for the business partner, depending on the billing category.

The report determines the following types of expected incoming payments:

Due items resulting from the payment plan (scheduled billing)

Due items that have been scheduled for billing as a result of interest on arrears (unscheduled billing)

For more information about the report, see the report documentation in the system, which you access on the initial screen for the transaction by clicking the icon, or in the description of the Account Billing function.

Integration

You can reverse executed billing runs in Account Management (FS-AM) : You can do this either for an individual account under AccountAccount Billing Reversing Account Billing for an Account , or in a mass run under Periodic Tasks AccountBilling Reversing Account Billing

After the reversal of a billing run, the system automatically flags the billing run for correction. You can make the correction within end-of-day processing in a mass run under Periodic TasksAccount Billing Correct Account Billing

You can use the following functions under AccountAccount Billing for individual accounts:

Displaying Billing Dates

Displaying Billing Items

Displaying Billing History

Prerequisites

You have made the necessary settings in the master data for the account and in Customizing (see the Integration section of the documentation for Account Billing ).

Features

In the billing run the account-managing system determines the expected incoming payments for accounts for which account billing has been scheduled, during end-of day processing.

Expected incoming payments result on the one hand from the inpayment agreement of the account contract ( scheduled billing ), and on the other hand from due interest on arrears ( unscheduled billing ). The Account Billing function includes both scheduled and the unscheduled billing.

The system can determine the following items as expected incoming payments:

Due items for the current billing period(s)

Overdue items from billing periods billed previously. (These are only registered by the system, they are not sent to the bill creation system again.)

The system manages the expected incoming payments entered in the billing run as billing items.

The system transfers the billing items to the bill creation system. (From here the items are transferred to the open item management system.)

The system determines the execution date for the next billing run. To do this the system takes the following information into account:

It receives the actual due date of the expected incoming payment from the Financial Calculator

It applies the lead daysthat you defined in Customizing or in the master data for the account.
