Scenario: Key Date-Based Cash Pooling with Amount Limits
In this scenario, you can specify amount limits (similar to the minimum and maximum amounts) that the system is to adhere to when clearing balances. You can specify a lower and an upper amount limit.
Example
The lower limit for a subaccount is EUR 1,000.00 DR and the upper limit is EUR 1,000.00 CR. During cash pooling, the system checks whether the balance of the subaccount is below the lower limit of EUR 1,000.00 DR, or above the upper limit of EUR 1,000.00 CR. If the balance is between the limits, the system executes a clearing posting between the subaccount and the main account. If the balance is above or below, there is no clearing with the main account.
The system can use the value date-based balance and the posting date-based balance to check limits for this scenario. You can specify which balance the system uses in the settings of the account, by either selecting rule SAP0071000 or SAP0072000.
To represent this scenario in the system, you need to define the following rules in the settings for each account:
Main Account
No rule
Subaccounts
SAP0011000 (Surplus Clearing)
SAP0012000 (Deficit Clearing)
SAP0071000 (Limit Amount Based on Value Date-Based Balance)
or SAP0072000 (Limit Amount Based on Posting Date-Based Balance)
Note
You can combine the rules for the amount limits either with rule SAP0051000 (Constant Balance on Subaccount) or with rules SAP 0044000 (Minimum Amount for Deficit Clearing) and SAP0045000 (Maximum Amount for Deficit Clearing).
