Function documentationCarrying Out Checks

Once the due accounts have been selected, the system carries out various checks in the control part of the settlement. After these, the calculation part of the settlement runs.

During the preparation of the account settlement, the system carries out the following checks in the function module BCA_COND_CALC_PREPARE for each account:

  1. The next execution date for the account to be settled must exist.

  2. The account involved must not be a time deposit contract, because time deposit contracts are not settled during the normal settlement run. Time deposit accounts are not settled until the call date. For more information about time deposits, see Time Deposits.

  3. If the Condition Type Bundle indicator is set for the account, no settlement takes place for this account, but the posting date is increased.

  4. If the posting date and the settlement date for the account are the same, posting with a posting date that is the same as the settlement date must be allowed. The system checks the Customizing settings for the account product under Start of the navigation path Account Management (FS-AM) Next navigation step Product Management Next navigation step Product Definition Next navigation step Account Products End of the navigation path, under the grouping attribute Start of the navigation path Posting Data Next navigation step Payment Item Control to ensure that Next navigation step Posting with Posting Date = Settlement Date Is Allowed. End of the navigation path

  5. The contract must be 'live', or its migration group status must be 'live'.

  6. The system checks the various period dates, such as start and end date of the settlement period, and the contract start date.

  7. The system checks the business partner of the account and issues a warning message if there is no business partner.
