Object documentationCard Pool

Structured contract to which participant cards are assigned.

Use this object to group together at least two card contracts of a business partner.

Use this object to map contracts that themselves consist of individual contracts.

You can assign all central attributes (such as limits, conditions) to a card pool, just as with any other contract.

You can restrict the assignment to a certain time, and change it.

Structure

The system maps a card pool using contract elements (such as limit management) and the business partners involved.

The individual contract parts are not exclusively for use for card pools, but form a structure by the way they are linked together. This structure makes it possible to map a card pool with its properties and capabilities.

The relationship between the card pool and the corresponding card contracts is also mapped.

Relationship Between Card Pool and Product

A card pool contract is based on a card pool product that is based on the product category "Card Pool". The attributes and contract elements used in the product category Card Pool Contract determine the scope of functions and descriptive characteristics.

The card pool product can enable further differentiation for the card pool contract itself. If it does not permit changes, the card pool contract must adopt all the default values from the card pool product. These restrictions are useful in retail banking, rather than for individual business.

For more information about product definition, see Product Management (FS-AM-PR).

Relationship Between Card Pool and Organizational Unit

The Contract Manager is important for a contract. You assign this when you create the contract. The system generates the following data using this contract managing organizational unit:

  • Bank Posting Area

  • Default value for Contract Calendar 1

Note Note

Under certain circumstances, you can change the contract manager. For more information, see Changing the Contract-Managing Organizational Unit.

End of the note.

Example

The card pool Card Pair consists of a Eurocard and a Visacard. Generally, there is no limit for the individual cards. The card pool has a superordinate limit of EUR 8,000. This means that the card holder can use up to a maximum of EUR 8,000, either with both cards jointly or with one of the two cards.
