Procedure documentationEditing Basic Data 2

On the Basic Data 2 tab page, you can edit or display the basic data for the card. Which data this involves depends on:

  • System settings in the product Customizing for Account Management

  • Editing mode (create, change, display)

  • Settings in the Business Data Toolset (BDT)

For more information, see Business Data Toolset.

Procedure

  1. The details in the Card Identification and Product group boxes inform you which card you are currently processing and on which product the card is based. You can check the data, but you cannot change it.

    Note Note

Once you have made the security settings for card numbers, it is possible that the card number is displayed here masked. To display the card number unmasked, choose the Display Card Number Unmasked pushbutton.

    End of the note.
  2. In the Card Basic Data group box, specify the purpose, the currency, and the contract calendar 1 for the card contract.

    Note Note

Note that you only have restricted options for changing the contract currency, depending on the contract status and the settings in Customizing for the external account identification.

    End of the note.
  3. In the Notes group box, you edit the language-specific notes. The system displays the first line of the note for which the language is preset. The two indicators at the end of the line of text show if there is a longer text or a text in a different language.

    • To create a longer note, choose Editor and enter the text.

    • To change the language of the notes, choose Other Languages.

    • To read the short overview of the notes, choose Short Overview.

    • To read the long overview of the notes, choose Long Overview.

  4. In the Contract-Managing Organization Unit group box, the system displays the contract manager.

    Note Note

Under certain circumstances, you can change the contract manager. For more information, see Changing the Contract-Managing Organizational Unit.

    End of the note.
  5. In the Authorization Group group box, you can restrict the display or editing of this card to certain users.

For more information about authorizations, see Authorization Administration in Account Management.
