Execution of Product Version Changes
The Execute Product Version Change
(BCA_OR_CMCP_PVC_PP)
transaction comprises the entire scope of the product version change. The system carries out all important business steps to change the product version of a master contract successfully, and in compliance with auditing requirements.
When processing a product version change, the system calls the following Master Contract Management (FS-MCM)
objects and edits them:
If at least one of the following requirements has not been met, the system checks the master contract and displays appropriate messages.
The master contract exists.
The contract status of the master contract is Active
The master contract is Not in Release
.
When executing the product version change, the system checks whether the target product version is active on the actual product version change date. If this is not the case, the system displays an error message. The system also checks whether the current version of the source contract is different from the target product version being changed to.
Date of event 0012 (Actual Product Version Change) when executing the product version change.
Date of event 0003 (Last Master Contract Change) when executing the product version change.

The system changes data on the master contract in accordance with the settings made in Customizing for the master contract product change. Note that in addition to the above-listed contract fields, there can be other contract fields whose content does not change, such as relationship attributes of the participants or such attributes that are only saved in the master contract product..
The system generates a change document for the master contract that meets auditing requirements.
