Function documentationArchiving of Valuation and Aggregation Runs  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The purpose of archiving is to remove data from the database without permanently deleting it. This improves the performance of your database. You still have read access to the archived data.

The valuation and aggregation runs in operational systems sometimes generate very large volumes of data that the system stores in the database. By archiving data using the archiving tool, you ensure that evaluations are not slowed down as a result of too large a volume of data in the database. This enables you to delete valuation and aggregation runs from the database. You can later reload archived data onto the database so that reporting can be carried out at any time.

Prerequisites

You have selected the runs that you want to archive in run administration for valuation or aggregation runs. To call the run administration function, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Bank Analyzer ® Analytics ® Strategy Analyzer ® Run Administration ® Management ® Manage Valuation Runs or Manage Aggregation Runs or Bank Analyzer ® Processes and Methods  ® Hedge Processes  ® Cash Flow Hedge Analysis ® Run Administration ® Management ® Manage Runs or Manage Aggregation Runs.

This is the case for all aggregation and valuation runs that consist of multiple subvaluation runs. You enter the relevant RDB packages when you edit your archiving variant. The system displays the packages in the input help for the run name.
