InfoCube documentation Capacity Load Utilization Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Technical name: 0PP_C13

Use

This InfoCube is used for comparing the available capacity with the target capacity requirements for the operation segments Process, Setup and Teardown. In this process, the system tries to divide the target capacity requirements equally between the workdays, according to the factory calendar.

Before loading the transaction data, the factory calendar and the master data for the plant and work center must be transferred first.

Distribution between the corresponding workdays means that the target capacity requirements for the operation segments Process, Setup and Teardown are more exact than in the InfoCubes 0PP_C03 and 0PP_C04. Therefore, this InfoCube (0PP_C13) should be used for analyses of capacity load utilization. In addition, it only makes sense to load InfoSource 0PP_WCCP into this InfoCube (0PP_C13) for examining the capacity load utilization and no longer into InfoCubes 0PP_C03 and 0PP_C04.

For more information, refer to Special Features When Using PP-PI.

Note

For this InfoCube, aggregates are provided in the Standard System via the following characteristics: Plant/Material/Component/Month and Plant/Work Center, Resource/Week. The aggregate via Plant/Work center, Resource/Week is not active because the time lost due to aggregation when filling the InfoCubes may be more than the time gained when carrying out the queries.

Note

When filling this InfoCube from InfoSource 0PP_WCCP you should note that, without the data on a time interval, only the capacity data of the current day is loaded.

Note

This InfoCube can be used as of Release 4.0B because the InfoSource 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL is not available until 4.0B.

This InfoCube cannot be used if you have an R/3 Release prior to Release 4.0B. In this case, therefore, you can only carry out capacity analyses using InfoCubes PP_C03 and 0PP_C04.

Determining the Workdays

The factory calendar is used to determine the workdays (attribute of the work center and the plant). The factory calendar for the work center has priority. Week days are used if a factory calendar cannot be determined.

To determine the relevant workdays for each order, the following date fields are evaluated in the order: Earliest start date and Earliest finish date or Latest start date and Latest finish date.

When a factory calendar can be determined, the number of workdays between the Start and Finish dates are calculated and the capacity requirement is divided equally between the workdays.

Note

If a factory calendar is assigned to a work center that has not yet been transferred, the update process is cancelled and a relevant message is issued.

Note

If the factory calendar for a work center is subsequently changed, changes to orders that have already been loaded can lead to inconsistencies in the evaluations.
