Creating Tenants in the Portal 

Purpose

You create tenants in the portal as a means of separating the various customers to which your portal is providing its services. In addition, you enable the tenants and their users to access objects, custom portal pages, and iViews to which they have the appropriate permissions.

Process Flow

 

       1.      Create a unique portal tenant system for the tenant using the default Portal Tenant Systemtemplate. See Creating Portal Tenant Systems.

       2.      Edit the properties of the new system object to enable connection to the designated user data store. See Editing UME Data Source Properties in the Portal Tenant System.

       3.      Create the portal tenant based on the unique portal tenant system. See Creating a Portal Tenant.
