Creating a Template 

Use

Objects created using the iView, Page, and System Wizards are not defined as templates, by default. This topic describes how to change a non-template object to a template, and vice versa.

Templates are generally used to create other portal objects using the iView, Page, and System Wizards. Non-template objects are generally used as content units to assemble portal pages, roles and worksets.

 

Procedure

       1.      Edit an object in the Property Editor.

       2.      Locate the Object is a Template property.

       3.      Do one of the following:

¡        To convert a non-template object to a template, set the property to Yes.

¡        To convert a template object to a non-template, set the property to No.
