Browsing the Portal Catalog 
You browse the Portal Catalog to view and access portal content objects stored in the Portal Content Directory (PCD). The content available to you in the Portal Catalog depends on the access permissions assigned to you per object and folder.
The Portal Catalog is a structured hierarchy of objects contained in folders.

Choose the Browse tab. |
Expand or collapse a folder |
Click the arrow to the left of the folder name. |
View a folder or object's properties and access permission setting |
Choose the object in the Portal Catalog. The basic properties pertaining to the selected object are displayed in the Quick Info area at the bottom of the Portal Catalog. To view and edit all the properties defining an object, open the object in its respective editor. See Editing an Object. |
Perform an action on a folder or object |
Do one of the following: · Right-click a folder or object to display a context menu; the context menu contains actions pertinent to the selected object type. Choose the appropriate action from the context menu. · Double-click a folder or object to execute a default action assigned to the object type. For more information, see Managing Objects in the Portal Catalog. |
Search for objects |
Choose the Search tab to launch the search tool. For more information, see Searching the Portal Catalog. |
Rename a folder or object |
Open the object in its respective editor and modify its properties as needed. |
