Portal Catalog tabs

Provides two tabs:

·        Browse: Enables you to view the contents of the Portal Catalog, based on the access permissions assigned to you. See Browsing the Portal Catalog.

·        Search: Enables you to locating content in the Portal Catalog based on search criteria you specify. See Searching the Portal Catalog.

Portal Content tree

Displays a structured list of folders and content objects available in the Portal Content Directory (PCD). The contents displayed in the tree are filtered according to the permissions assigned to you.

Each object type has a unique icon to enable easy and immediate identification.

In the Portal Content Studio, the Portal Catalog displays object types that are directly related to portal content, such as iViews, pages, and roles. It does not display system objects, portal components, portal services, portal desktops, portal themes, and rule collections. These are accessible from their respective editors, such as the System Landscape Editor, Permissions Editor, Service Configuration tool, Portal Desktop Editor, and Portal Display Rules Editor.

Quick Info

Displays the basic properties and permissions of a selected object. It is useful for viewing basic information about an object without having to open its editor.

The type of information displayed depends on the object type selected.
