Background documentation Content Administration for Portal Tenants Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

This section describes how content administrators manage content in a multitenant portal. In this context, content refers to iViews, portal pages, worksets, and roles.

The content which a content administrator works with in a multitenant portal depends on whether the administrator is a global or tenant-specific user administrator:

·        Global content administrators do not belong to a tenant and can create and modify global and tenant-specific content, depending on their permissions.

·        Tenant content administrators belong to a specific tenant and should only work with content for that tenant. A global system administrator needs to ensure that portal permissions are appropriately set so that tenant administrators have access to the content of their tenant only.

For detailed information on managing content in a multitenant portal, see the following topics:

·        Creating Content and Assigning Permissions

·        Assigning Tenant's Content and Users to Roles

·        Configuring a Business Package for Several Tenants

For general information on content administration in a standard portal, see Content Administration in the Portal Administration Guide.
