Monitoring and Reporting Activities of Portal
Tenants
Portal administrators can monitor and display information about various portal activities, such as performance and the details of logged-on users. Central mechanisms monitor, gather, and create data that can be used by a portal super administrator to analyze user activities and workload patterns in the portal.
For information about the monitoring mechanisms available in the portal, see Monitoring Technology and Logging.
A tenant administrator can also create portal activity report iViews which display the following information (for detailed information, see Portal Activity Report):
· The number of users of the tenant that logged on to the portal during a specified period of time.
· Which users of the tenant have logged on to the portal.
· The number of times tenant users have requested each page/iView offered by the tenant.
Alternatively, a global administrator can generate statistics about the activities in a tenant’s portal and provide this information to the tenant directly.

To use the portal activity report feature, you need to first configure the aggregator application and activate the data collection service. You only need to do this once; after doing so, they will be available for all tenants. See Using the Portal Activity Report.
