Role: Standard User (eu_role) 

Use

The Standard User role contains default non-administrative runtime content for portal users. It includes basic functionality (portal personalization iViews) for the core portal platform and default content for the KMC platform.

By default, the Everyone group in the portal is assigned to this role. This role has been available in the portal since the first release of EP 6.0. For guidelines and recommendations for using this role, see Every User Roles.

 

Structure

The content of the Standard User role is structured as follows:

·        Home (workset)

¡        Documents (empty workset)

¡        Portal Information (page with Welcome iViews)

At runtime, these empty worksets are populated by the Home worksets of KMC using smart merging portal technology. The MergeID of this workset is: com.sap.portal.home.

Do not modify objects in the Content Provided by SAP folder (pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct)— this folder are reserved for SAP use only and its contents are liable to change from version to version, including patch upgrades.
