Creating Crystal Report iViews
You can integrate Crystal Reports as an iView with no difficulty by selecting the Crystal Enterprise report template in the iView Wizard. The template is automatically installed with the portal.
For more
information, read the documentation
Formatted Reporting:
Crystal Reports Integration.
You selected the Crystal Enterprise report iView template in step 1 of the iView Wizard and followed the instructions given by the Wizard. For more information see Launching the iView Wizard and First Steps.
You must maintain the following properties in order to display a Crystal Report in the portal as an iView:
Select the application type for which you want to
create the iView (standard Crystal Enterprise report or based on a SAP BW
report).
This step is required.
Enter the system
alias for the desired SAP System here.
This field is required.
The system alias
refers to a SAP system that was defined in the portal. For more information,
see
Executing
the System Landscape Wizard and
Defining the System
Alias.
Application variant
Standard
Crystal Enterprise Report:
Enter the required ID of the Crystal Report.
Application variant
Based on
SAP BW Report:
Enter the required BW GUI.
You can enter
parameter values for certain screen fields for displaying the components here.
This field is optional.
The parameter values are specified with the following syntax:
<Screen_field1>=<Parameter1>
&<Screen_field2>=<Parameter2>
&<...>=<...>,...
Here you can define the path to the application called when the iView is executed.

You do not need a slash “/” as prefix.
You can select the required Crystal Enterprise Viewer here. A query string parameter “&viewer=” is created from this entry.
Here you can define if the Crystal Enterprise report should be called On Demand. If you select the option Last Instance the last successful instance is called. The query string parameter “&view_type=” is created.

You can find
general information about maintaining iView properties in
Property
Editor and
Editing iView
Properties.
You must then configure the Crystal Enterprise server entry point.
