Managing Users, Groups, and Roles

This section provides information on how user administrators manage user, groups, and roles in a multitenant portal environment.

The specific tasks which a user administrator can perform while working in a multitenant portal depends on whether the administrator is a global or tenant-specific user administrator:

· Global user administrators do not belong to a tenant and can create and modify all users, both tenant users and global users. They can also create and modify all groups and roles, both global and tenant-specific. When they view groups and roles, they can see all members of the groups and roles.

· Tenant user administrators belong to a specific tenant and can only view, create, modify, and delete users, groups, and roles belonging to that tenant. When they view groups or roles, they can view only those users that belong to the same tenant as them.
