Virtual Data Models for Unified Demand Forecast
Virtual data models allow you to access data in one module and use it in another without having to persist the data a second time.
To model and forecast demand, you use the UDF module in SAP Customer Activity Repository. For input, you need to provide historical demand data. The VDMs allow UDF to access SAP HANA views in the SAP HANA content of SAP Customer Activity Repository that provide this input in the form of aggregated historical time series data:
Note that the consumed time series are not persisted in the Demand Data Foundation (DDF) module. In this they differ from other time series (see Time Series).
Several prerequisites must be fulfilled before you can access and use the SAP HANA content for SAP Customer Activity Repository, including the virtual data models for UDF.

The virtual data models are part of the SAP HANA content for the UDF and DDF modules. The SAP HANA content is provided in delivery units. Each delivery unit is shipped via a dedicated SAP HANA Transport Container (HTC, sometimes referred to as ABAP TLOG object) in the RTLDDF 200
software component version.
Note
You can view and manage delivery units in SAP HANA studio, using the SAP HANA Modeler
perspective.
