Opportunity Planning
Opportunity planning is a special application for sales projects that span a longer period. It enables detailed sales plans to be drawn up for the coming months or even years.
In one, single user interface, you can enter plan figures for an opportunity as a whole (for example, sales, market shares) as well as for individual products (such as sales, number of pieces).
Opportunity planning is closely integrated with SAP CRM. For this reason, read the notes under Special Features for Close Integration with SAP CRM.
You perform opportunity planning within SAP CRM while editing an opportunity. You therefore find more information on the process flow for opportunity planning in the SAP Library for SAP CRM.
In the example scenario, the following elements are delivered for the planning area Sales Planning (4CRMSP01) in SAP BW for opportunity planning:
· Planning level Opportunity Planning (4OP01000)
· Planning profile Opportunity Planning (4CRMOP01)
· (Enhanced) planning layout Opportunity Sales and Sales Quantity (OPLA1000)
