Settings for Calling Up Planning
If you want to perform planning from the Web Browser (see also Front Ends for Entering Plan Data), you find the link you need in the Settings for Planning Services under Settings for Calling Up Planning.
If you want to perform planning in the SAP GUI, you can assign a specific transaction code for calling up the planning area.
You can add the following parameters to the displayed URL (appended in each case using an ampersand (&)):
· SAP-CLIENT=<three-digit client number>
· SAP-LANGUAGE=<two-characteristic language abbreviation>

http://<application server>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/upx_exec2/start.htm?AREA=XXXXX&SAP-LANGUAGE=EN&SAP-CLIENT=003
By assigning a transaction code, you can simplify the steps that are usually required for performing planning. Usually, you first select a planning area with transaction UPXA and then perform planning with transaction UPX_EXEC. You can combine these steps in a new transaction. This new transaction needs to call up screen 2000 for program SAPLUPX_EXECUTE.

To create your own transaction code, you can copy the general transaction code UPX_EXEC.
Note the following:
· Do not assign the general transaction code UPX_EXEC as the new transaction code.
· Assign a different transaction code for each planning area.
