Upgrading a Web Dynpro Application (Java) 

Purpose

Newly developed Web Dynpro applications can be combined with older versions of applications. Customer objects developed in customer namespaces are not overwritten by upgrades.

Use of the Process

Prerequisites

You have made a new development in form of a development component project (Web Dynpro application).

Process Flow

       1.      Check-in of the new application into the Design Time Repository (DTR)

The software project is checked into the assigned DTR via context menu functions from within the Web Dynpro Explorer.

       2.      The merging of the sources is carried out by the Java development infrastructure; graphical tools are available.
